'The Sunshine Boys' a comedy by Neil Simon is a classic. Written as a tribute to Vaudeville stars, this play travels through lives of two kings of comedy Willie Clark and Al Lewis, who have grown up to hate each other in the past 11 years after a successful 43 years of team work. Humour runs throughout the play, as these two stars in their seventies are asked to come together for the last time for a show. What happens is for you to find out! The Sunshine Boys was later turned into a movie. It was also nominated for the coveted, Tony Award.

Note: 
rafiki is offering an eight day theatre workshop for children between 9 and 12 years. The workshop is titled Duniya Sabki, and is based on a poem (by the same title) written by the poet and theatre artist, Safdar Hashmi.

Employing theatre games, exercises and our own experience of working with children – the workshop will aim to share and learn from personal experiences. The eight days will culminate into a short performance by the participants involving personal narratives along with the one written by Hashmi.

About rafiki:

rafiki in Kiswahili, the language spoken by the Swahili tribe in East Africa, simply means ‘friend’. We are a Bangalore based theatre group, and have worked with an increasing focus on theatre for children over the last 14 years.

11:30 Antharanga presents play Dharmasthambha, a play in Kannada (Tickets priced at Rs. 70)
16:00 Opening of John Devaraj's exhibition of photographs "I'm Homeless" and paintings on the same theme will be sold to aid Japanese tsunami victims. This would be inaugurated by 11 member Japanese's Group THE PEACE TEAM CHALLENGER
18:00 Kannada songs of world classics by children of Born Free Art School
